My Acrylix® stamps are the best around; they bring beauty and precision together with versatility, durability, storability, and affordability! And during the month of June, they are even more affordable than ever before during Close To My Heart’s month-long Stampaganza!
During Stampaganza from June 1–30, purchase any two stamp sets, sizes A through E (some exclusions apply), at full retail price and select a third stamp set of equal or lesser value for free—a savings of up to $29.95! Buy as many as you want without worrying about having space for them all—the compact stamp set envelopes allow them to slide into even the fullest craft closet!
The advantages of our My Acrylix stamp sets are as clear as the stamps themselves, enabling you to craft with confidence. Being able to see through your stamps makes stamping techniques like double-stamping, base and shade stamping, layered stamping, and cluster stamping so much easier. The clear stamps and blocks remove the guesswork from stamping by allowing you to see exactly where your stamped image will be.

Crinoline flowers, Pt 2

Ok ladies, I decided not to use my first flower.  I couldn't get it to where I wanted to it be to make me happy.  So I made some more of them and colored them in differently.  One I used Goldrush ink andTulip ink to try to imitate the rose I saw the other day, then I made one with Pacifica ink, well, because I thought it would be cool, then I made one in Tulip alone and Tulip and Smokey Plum one.  I used some inexpensive paint brushes for the inking this time and it worked a lot better than the sponge daubers.  I put pearls into the center and sprayed them with glitter spray, although you can't see the sparkles in the photo.  I made them into a pin/button for me to wear.  I used the stamps that came in my kit to put the words on and used hot glue for everything else, then I embellished and TADA!!!  Here it is!!

I definitely need a better camera than my el cheapo one, but it is really pretty in person.  Thanks for looking!!!

Crinoline Roses from the AP Cartridge

So I decided that I really loved the crinoline flowers that Tammy Tutterow made on her blog recently but I don't want to sit and cut with scissors and I don't own any other cutters except for my Cricut.  You can also use your cricut markers installed in your cricut and let it draw the cutting lines and then handcut them.  This would save your cricut blades.  I have the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge and love the flowers so....I cut some out of crinoline and this is what I got.
So then I used my Smokey Plum Ink and a daubber and inked the edges darker and the center lighter.
Then I rolled the flower from the outside to the center
Before gluing, I inked the edges using the distressing technique and my dauber.  The dauber is really getting kinda tore up because of the fabric being so rough on the edges.  I will try to find a different way to do the edges.
Then I glued it down with my hot glue gun.  Rolled the edges with my bone folder, it was really easy because the fabric bends so easy and nice.  And here is the finished product.
So tomorrow I will show you the page that I am going to make to use these on.  Thanks for looking

New to Rubber Stamping

I am starting this blog with a weekly (or more) blog that I am calling My Journey with Stamping.

OK.  So I am new to blogging, this is my first attempt actually.  But more fun than that I am new to rubber stamping.  I have to learn to do it correctly because I decided to sell the most wonderful products ever (Close to my Heart) to scrapbook with and the company also sells rubber stamps and I get to teach classes on all of it.

So, I am going to show what I am doing, how I am doing and I will show you what I did wrong, how I fixed it and any other great ideas I learn or come up with as I go.  Hope you keep watching me grow in my stamping and creativity.

Thanks for looking, Deb
